Terms of Service – Self-Studio

1. Introduction and Scope of Services
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of self-studio services provided by Lightcode Studios, operated by Digital Love Inc. By booking a self-studio session, clients agree to these terms. Separate Terms apply to passport/visa and related photo services and will be provided upon booking those services.

2. Booking and Payments
- Bookings must be made online at www.lightcodestudios.ph or in person at the studio.
- Full payment is required to confirm bookings.
- The studio may refuse bookings for operational reasons or policy violations.

3. Late Policy
- The studio allows a 10 minute grace period for bookings.
- Clients arriving after the grace period will have their session shortened accordingly.
- No-shows forfeit their session with no refunds.

4. Rescheduling and Cancellation 
- Free rescheduling is available up to 48 hours before the session; a ₱250 fee applies within 48 hours of the session.
- Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the session are eligible for a refund minus a ₱100 service fee; no refunds within 48 hours of the session.
- Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days.

5. Studio Use
- The studio accommodates around 8 people; larger groups may require waiting outside.
- Clients under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult; children under 6 must be held throughout the session.
- Pets: only small dogs are allowed and must be held at all times. No additional fee for one dog only; a ₱250 fee will be charged for each additional dog.

6. Conduct and Safety
- No food or drinks are allowed in the studio.
- No fire or smoking of any kind is allowed in the studio nor the entire mall.
- Clients must not tamper with the studio equipment.
- Nudity is not allowed beyond swimwear-level.
- Inappropriate content, including adult-themed content, or disruptive behavior may result in immediate termination without refund and without delivery of related photos.
- The studio reserves the right, at its discretion, to refuse service or remove clients or their guests for any past or current violation of these terms and related policies.

7. Post-Session Procedures
- Clients must remove their belongings and leave the studio in the condition in which they found it.
- Photos are edited and processed through automatic and/or manual methods and delivered within 2-3 days by email. Expedited delivery is subject to availability and will incur an additional fee.
- Photos are available for download for a 2-week period upon delivery, after which they may be permanently deleted. The studio is not responsible for lost or deleted files beyond this period. Backup copies may be kept for up to 12 months.

8. Liability
8.1. Lightcode Self-Controlled Studios liability
- Clients acknowledge and assume full responsibility for their own safety while using the studio facilities. The studio is not liable for any injuries sustained nor loss/damage to client belongings, except in cases of gross negligence. It is also not responsible for any indirect or financial losses.
- Clients agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the studio harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from their actions or omissions while using the studio.
- Self-studio sessions are not intended for official use, including passport or visa photos. Clients are solely responsible for compliance, and the studio is not liable for rejections, losses, or additional costs.
- The studio is not liable for disruptions due to factors beyond its control, such as power failures, or technical issues.
- If equipment fails and cannot be fixed within 15 minutes of notifying staff, rescheduling or a partial/full refund may be offered.
- Lost items will be kept for 30 days; unclaimed items will be discarded. The studio is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of stored items.

8.2. Client & Third-Party liability
- Clients must use studio facilities responsibly and cover replacement or repair costs for any damage caused, whether intentional or accidental.
- Clients are responsible for any damage caused by their guests, including but not limited to makeup artists, assistants, and other attendees as well as any pets, and must ensure their compliance with these terms and conditions.

9. Intellectual Property
- Clients retain ownership of their photos; the studio processes and stores them for service fulfillment only.
- The studio may use photos for marketing with client consent.
- Tagging the studio publicly grants permission to use shared photos, which can be withdrawn in writing.
- Clients are granted a non-transferable, limited, revocable right to use the studio's services.

10. Changes to Terms
These terms may change without prior notice. Clients should review the terms available online or in-studio before booking to stay updated.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by Philippine law. Disputes shall first be resolved through negotiation or mediation before legal action in Makati courts.

12. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a session, clients acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all attendees in their group.
